- Christopher Chandler was killed shortly after noon when he was struck by an automobile. According to the verdict of the coroner's jury the death was accidental. The inquest was held the same day as the death by Deputy Coroner J.C. Freeman of San Luis Obispo County. The car was driven by William O'Brien of Los Angeles who was traveling north accompanied by another young man.
