Chandler Letter page 1

This letter was written by C.C. Chandler to his son, Earl.

It was written on blue paper designed to be folded and the reverse side used as the envelope. To make sense of the letter it should be read in this order:
Page one, left side
Page two, right side
Page two, left side
Page one, right side
Page one, top of right side, upside down

Background
Earl had left home at the age of 16 over a dispute with his father about how he wore his hair and went to Orondo, WA with his older sister, Edna.
After many years without contact, C.C. traveled to Orondo to mend the relationship. Judging by the date of this letter, it was probably the summer of 1921. Since the original dispute was about hair, C.C. shaved off his long beard before arriving at Earl's home.
